"True Story: I was on my way home from work yesterday trying to think of something to wear to a friend's birthday...and we know I haven't been to the bar in almost a year, so I was trying to put together something fabulous. Then I remembered you and I going to the Moose one night in bar tops with our bra straps down off our shoulders bein all sexy. But no one else but us thought we looked awesome. I laughed my ass off on the subway and got some weird looks (so what's new?). I'm thinking of doing it again just for fun. :p "

Again, another bad day to forget my winter boots! That's IT every day from here on in, this winter, I will put on my winter boots and bring my workshoes, in a bag, alongside my lunch (is alongside one word? no...), my laptop and various tidbits I typically bring to work with me. My mom used to do that and it used to make me laugh a bit... i'm turnign out to be my mother. oh that's a whole 'nother post :|
The water here literally tastes like soap. I can no longer enjoy my tea under these conditions. I will have to bring my own tea. A while back I bought this travel mug that is SO great, it keeps my tea warm until I leave at 3. I work 7 - 3 ...
I'm also getting every second friday off because I want to. That's the joy of being on contract and your 'own boss' more time for my baby girl (who now says "hi baby girl, and thank you.. it's adorable) and at Karate until my membership expires in March and i'm unable to afford my membership until I win the lottery :( $120 a month or $3000 up front for 3 years. It's the black belt club...anyone want to sponser me? I'll wear your name on my fighting gear and fight in your honour...anyone? anyone? bueller? bueller?

If there ever was a lady who didn't need donuts, it's me and yet I'm eating them like it's my last supper. My last donut. It should be my last donut. My Coach called me today "just checking in to make sure you're doing all your stuff..." and by stuff he means working out ALOT. I am not.
There is something physically/mentally wrong with me. Scratch that. Mentally wrong with me.
I used to be so focused, so driven, so full of will to succeed. I strived to succeed in competition. Now it's like I have nothing to work for.
I don't work half as hard as I need to get my blackbelt.
I don't work half as hard as I need to to lose the weight I want to lose.
I don't work half as hard as I say I want to to acheive the goals I have set for myself.
This has to change. |

I think everyone needs to become certified in ITIL. Learn it, love it, live it. PLEASE, it would make my life so much easier.
_descending_ wanted to know a course to take, that's my suggestion - start with your Foundations and work your way up. It'll make your life easier too! |

Job goes well. My contract at the Bank of Canada is up in December, I want to get another here in Ottawa so I don't have to go travelling all the time. Anyone want to hire me? :P

Christmas is coming up really fast. How many more sleeps? 41? 40? I don't want to count.
I feel like cooking all the time now. Cooking and baking. I made a lasagna this weekend it tasted good but turned out more runny than anything lmao.. it was not my best creation. My LAST lasagna was awesome!! but i never write down my recipes so I can't do things twice in a row. I'm starting to collect recipies now soooooooooo

It's Friday, it's FRIDAY! I wanted to leave early today but my boss asked me to join him in a meeting at 2:30 :( so i can't.
NO fair, since i've worked double time for about 2 weeks!
I am looking forward to this weekend, just spending time with Aleta will be SO nice :)

So i've felt a void in my life... i realized it's LJ and i'll update again! You see...i have a contract now that actually has me working full time in an office and i seriously need something to help me cope with office life haha i'm so not into Office Politics!!!
SO, ALETA WILL BE 1 IN TWO WEEKS, August 25th!! ONE!!! SHe's amazing, i'll post pics soon..she talks now. her first word was a sentence, go figure. "Hi baby" and she waves... it's adorable. she's been walking for about a month now too. crazy shit!
Anyway , i'm seriously busy at work so i'm getting back to it now.

Aleta Marja Tarin was born Thursday August 25th at 11:28am and she was 7 pounds 11 ounces.
Mamma's doin' ok, recovering from this c section is a little bit more difficult than i had anticipated but the first week was by far the toughest, and i seem to be getting a little better every day now :)

I ran downstairs to grab a couple Napalm Death cd's....and as i'm running back up the stairs my foot got caught in the pants of my pj's and Mommy took a tumble. Funny though, my mother's instinct kicked right in, i almost broke my leg just to avoid landing on my tummy.
I'm FINE and called the dr's and Aleta's fine too...but i'm just takin it easy now my leg's all banged up and swollen, black and blue but not broken or anything...wow that was so scary.
So shocking i was in tears just terrified that i hurt my baby. I didn't even care that my leg loooked like i had been hit by a car.:S
A few tears and some trembling and then i carried on with my day lol
BUT I just had to post to tell you that..AND to show off what I made for my baby girl's room.
I got this idea and just thought. i'm sure i can buy these for like $15 a letter OR i can MAKE it for probably $30 and get all 5 letters.
I'm not crafty in the least so i'm very proud these turned out as great as they did.
